We were honored to welcome Noblesville Boom and Indiana Pacers forward Gabe McGlothan to the “Friday Thing”!
Gabe spoke to our youth about the power of community and supporting one another. He shared the story of redwood trees — some of the tallest trees in the world. Their roots are incredibly shallow, but they spread wide, intertwining and locking together with the roots of neighboring trees. By connecting like this, they support and strengthen one another so they can stand tall through life’s storms.
He answered all kinds of questions, and encouraged them to follow their dreams while surrounding themselves with people who believe in them. He also laced up his shoes and played with the kids for two hours!
